National Engineers Week

It’s almost here — the 59th annual event to encourage students to consider
engineering careers while building public understanding and appreciation of
engineers’ contributions to society. Running from Feb. 15 through 21,
National Engineers Week is backed by more than 100 professional societies
(including ASCE), major corporations and government agencies, with the goal
of ensuring a diverse and well-educated future engineering work force.
Engineers who give of their time to be with students are a huge part of the
E-Week mission. Are you among the many who have reached out to potential
future engineers? To demonstrate such generosity among engineers,
organizers of the Million Hours Campaign want you to log the hours you’ve
volunteered recently at their special Web page. Find out more about
National Engineers Week and the many volunteer efforts you can engage in
here. Log the volunteer hours you’ve already given at the Engineers Week’s
Million Hours Campaign site.
